AFTD Community Members Share Hope with New Podcast
Two members of the AFTD community have launched a new podcast dedicated to telling the stories of people living with FTD, and their loved ones.
The podcast, titled “Remember Me”, seeks to share the stories of those touched by FTD, as well as remember those who have been lost to the disease and offer advice for those facing a diagnosis. The show is produced and hosted by Maria Kent Beers and Rachael Martinez, both of whom have loved ones with FTD and have raised money to support AFTD’s mission as Grassroots Events hosts.
The podcast recently launched with an episode focused on Martinez’s father Frank, who is living with FTD. Throughout the hour-long discussion, Martinez, an AFTD volunteer and former Regional Coordinator, shares her father’s journey, from the onset of his symptoms to the ways in which she has continued to foster a sense of connection as his condition progresses.
The podcast is available online, as well as on Spotify, Google Podcasts and Anchor. To learn more about the podcast and how to share your story, click here.
