AFTD has launched its 3rd year of the FTD Research Roundtable. This program offers a forum for drug developers, regulators, academic leaders, and advocates to discuss shared challenges and potential solutions to accelerate the development of effective treatments for FTD. Jonathan Rohrer, MD, PhD from University College London (GENFI) and Arthur Simen, MD, PhD from Takeda Pharmaceuticals are co-chairing the annual program. Howard (Howie) Rosen, MD of UCSF and Gary Romano, MD, PhD of Alector have joined as Chair-Elects, to chair the program in 2026. Michelle Campbell, PhD of the FDA and Steffen Thirstrup, MD, PhD of the European Medicines Agency continue their roles on the Leadership Committee, joined by Joseph Marquez, MD as FTD Family Advocate, Laura Mitic, PhD of the Bluefield Project to Cure FTD, and Penny Dacks, PhD of AFTD.
