The announcement of Bruce Willis’s FTD diagnosis on February 16 has brought international media attention to this disease, bringing new FTD awareness to millions across the world.

AFTD spoke to several major media outlets to provide critical context and insight. AFTD CEO Susan L-J Dickinson, MSGC, was interviewed by NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt, while AFTD Senior Director of Programs Sharon Denny, MA, spoke with the British news outlet Sky News.

Additionally, Bruce Miller, MD, of the University of California, San Francisco – one of the country’s leading FTD experts, and a member of the AFTD Medical Advisory Council –shared his knowledge on Fox and Friends. Dr. Miller and Ms. Dickinson were also interviewed for an overview of FTD published by the New York Times.
