Update on AFTD Events and COVID-19

Color-LogoMarkOnly

As we announced last week, AFTD has made the difficult decision to cancel our 2020 Education Conference and all associated events, which had been scheduled for April 16-17, 2020. We are exploring virtual options and will keep you updated moving forward. Click here for the full message from AFTD’s CEO.

Effective immediately, AFTD is suspending all face-to-face and public volunteer activities, including table settings, meet and greets, presentations, support group meetings, and grassroots events until further notice. This decision has been made in the interests of the safety of our volunteers and their families, as well as your local communities. We will keep you updated on the status of these activities as the situation evolves. Please follow up with your AFTD staff lead if you have immediate questions or concerns.

We will be working closely with our community to provide relevant information related to the current health crisis and how it impacts the situation faced by people with FTD and caregivers. And, we will continue to work with our volunteers to determine options and ways to advance our mission under the current circumstances.

AFTD staff are working remotely. Expect delays in resource mailings and orders through the AFTD Store for the time being. We will get things out as quickly as possible; thank you for your patience and understanding.
