2025 AFTD Holloway Postdoctoral Fellowships

Funding:$120,000 over two years
Funded solely by the AFTD Holloway Family Fund

Photo: Takumi NakamuraTakumi Nakamura, MD, PhD, postdoctoral fellow at Washington University in St. Louis, is assessing how measurements of types of tau protein in the spinal fluid may be used as biomarkers for early detection of FTD.

 

 

 

Photo: Chang LiuChang Liu, PhD, postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University, is studying how a type of chemical modification to RNA interacts with TDP-43 protein dysfunction in FTD, with the goal of uncovering new treatment strategies.

 

 

 

2025 Clinical Research Training Scholarship in FTD

Funding: $150,000 over two years
Funded by the AFTD Holloway Family Fund and the American Brain Foundation, in collaboration with the American Academy of Neurology
