Paul Petras will be participating in the Shawnee 50 Mile Trail Run on October 10, 2020 in honor of his girlfriend, Serina Cline’s, father, who was diagnosed with FTD and passed away in 2012 after a 10-year journey with the disease.

The 54-mile run is part of a long-term goal that Paul set for himself to take on a new challenge each year to test the limits of his physical endurance, while raising awareness and funds to support AFTD’s mission. The race is considered one of Ohio’s most difficult and strategic ultra-marathons with over 11,000 feet of elevation through the Shawnee State Forest. Paul took on a similar feat last year, completing a 50k race and raising over $2,000 in support of AFTD’s work.

Serina will be helping Paul by marketing, fundraising, and helping him to train leading up to the event.
