The growing number of technological interventions available to help persons with dementia cope with the condition is the focus of a recent Washington Post article.

The article highlights the recent rise of robotics and digital devices that can help alleviate dementia’s symptoms and lessen the burden on caregivers. These technologies – which include lifelike robot companion pets, interactive applications, GPS tracking tools, and virtual reality systems – can “fill a void” for persons with dementia and have demonstrated a number of benefits.
