AFTD Volunteer Spreads FTD Awareness on National TV

Amy Johnson

AFTD volunteer Amy Johnson recently shared her family’s journey with the disease in front of a nationally televised audience.

A mother of four young children whose 40-year-old husband has behavioral variant FTD (bvFTD), Johnson spoke about her experience as an FTD caregiver on The Mel Robbins Show. In sharing her family’s story, she discussed the toll that caregiving can take, and the need for support.

Johnson delade också med sig av sin familjs resa som en del av en 60 minuter segment på FTD that aired in May, helping to bring awareness to millions of viewers across the country. She writes a detailed personal blog about her family’s journey, and presented at the AFTD utbildningskonferens in 2019.
