AFTD extends condolences to the family and friends of Richard E. Rainwater, who passed away on Sunday, September 27, 2015, from conditions related to PSP, a subtype of FTD. An independent investor, Mr. Rainwater established the Rainwater Charitable Foundation (RCF) in the early 1990s. More recently, the RCF began to support medical research in the field of neuroscience, including financing the research group known as the Tau Consortium, which researches the causes, progression and potential treatments of PSP.
