AFTD’s fourth annual Hope Rising Benefit made headlines across multiple media outlets, including Women’s Wear Daily (WWD), Vogue, and the New York Social Diary. Held October 23 in New York, the benefit marked AFTD’s most successful to date, with more than $2 million raised to advance FTD research and improve quality of life for those affected by this disease.

WWD ran a detailed feature on the Newhouse family, who inspired the annual fundraising event. The article, written by Executive Editor Bridget Foley, sheds light on FTD and includes comments from AFTD CEO Susan L-J Dickinson.

Vogue also covered Hope Rising on its website, including photos and a brief summary of the event.

Finally, in his New York Social Diary column, David Patrick Columbia wrote a first-person account of his experience attending Hope Rising. He noted AFTD volunteer Amanda Dawson’s keynote speech about her father’s diagnosis and emphasized the event’s successful turnout.
