Virtual Pilates for AFTD
September 26, 2020 @ 9:15 am - 10:15 am
Veronica Wolfe, owner of Jersey City Pilates, is hosting a virtual Pilates class for AFTD in honor of her mother, who was diagnosed with FTD in 2018 at the age of 59.
Veronica and her mom loved to work out together, and their bond was how Veronica found Pilates and decided to become a certified instructor while in college. The class will be held on Veronica’s birthday as a way to honor her mom, and as a way to share her family’s experience and spread awareness of FTD.
This class, which is solely virtual, will be accessible for all levels and no previous experience is necessary — all you need is a dish towel! A $15 donation through Classy is requested to participate, with all proceeds going to support AFTD’s mission. Please include your email address when you make your donation via the Classy link and Veronica will send you the link for the class.
Pilates is for everybody. In every class you’ll focus on nine key principals of the Pilates Method to help develop the mind body, and spirit, including: breathing, concentration, control, centering, precision, balance muscle development, rhythm/flow, whole body movement, and relaxation. These principals will help benefit you in and out of class.
