AFTD Soliciting Applications 2019 AFTD Pilot Grants

Pilot Grants for Basic Science and Translational Research 2019

AFTD is accepting applicants for two of its 2019 Pilot Grants: the Basic Science Pilot Grant and the Susan Marcus Translational Research Pilot Grant. The deadline to submit an application is September 13.

AFTD Pilot Grants provide seed funding for innovative FTD research by early-career investigators. The Basic Science Pilot Grant supports projects with the potential to increase our understanding of the biology or pathophysiology of FTD. The Susan Marcus Translational Research Pilot Grant, made possible by the Susan Marcus Memorial Fund, supports projects that seek to build on advances in FTD science to facilitate the development of novel therapies and diagnostics or advance medical practice.

One award will be made in each category. Each will provide up to $60,000 (US) for one year (January 1, 2020 – December 31, 2020).

Submission can be made by creating an account in the new AFTD Application Submission Portal. For general instructions for Pilot Grant applicants, click here.
