60 Minutes will again broadcast its segment on FTD, “The Cruelest Disease You’ve Never Heard Of,” on Sunday, February 2.

The segment originally aired last May, bringing FTD awareness to an audience of millions of television viewers, many of whom subsequently turned to AFTD for further information — in the days immediately following the broadcast, theaftd.org drew record numbers of visitors.

AFTD provided background information on FTD to 60 Minutes producers. One of the segment’s producers, Rome Hartman, spoke about the experience of reporting on FTD at AFTD’s Hope Rising Benefit in October 2019, and will be the Keynote Speaker at AFTD’s 2020 Education Conference in Baltimore this April.
