In light of the recent passing of former Alberta Premier Ralph Klein, an Edmonton, Canada TV station interviewed Myron Polis, who is affected with FTD, and his wife Jackie.

The Salt Lake Tribune has written an update on well-known economist Jeff Thredgold.  AFTD’s annual conference, to be held in Salt Lake City on April 12, is also mentioned in a side bar to the article.

Ralph Klein, former Premier of Alberta who passed away on March 29th, is remembered in the Canadian newspaper The Globe and Mail. To read about his impressive career as well as his battle with FTD, click here.

The Washington Post has run a special eight-page insert on rare diseases in its Monday, March 25th edition of the paper.  With the foreward written by a NORD executive, AFTD decided to take part in this special addendum to the newspaper with a short message on the back page.  In conjunction with this ad, AFTD has also released the full documentary It Is What It Is on YouTube.  The film features the journeys of four families affected by FTD.  Click here to view It Is What It Is.
