Max’s “Catch-a-Thon” Gets Press; Event Takes Place March 23rd

A 13-year-old boy from Bethesda, MD will honor his grandfather with a catch-a-thon on Sunday, March 23, 2014.  Max Portnoy and his grandfather share a love of baseball; now that his grandfather has FTD, Max decided to raise funds to support AFTD’s mission while celebrating the sport they love.  Click here for an online story about Max’s efforts.

King of Prussia, PA 10-miler and 5K – May 18, 2014

For the third year in a row, staff and friends of AFTD will participate in a 10-mile/5K run and walk on May 18, 2014 in King of Prussia, PA.  More details to come…registration information can be found here.  Email with any questions.

7th Annual Quest for the Cure – May 12, 2014

The Walter Charitable Fund will host its 7th Annual Quest for the Cure Golf Tournament on Monday, May 12 ,2014 at Del Paso Country Club in Sacramento, CA.  For complete details and to register, visit the Quest for the Cure website.

Benefit in Memory of Larry Panetta

On January 26, Kevin Slade and Andria Pullaro will host a memorial benefit honoring their cousin, Larry Panetta, who recently passed away from FTD.  Five live bands, a 50/50 raffle, and food and drink will be part of the event taking place from 2 - 8 p.m. at Tilt Night Club, 444 Central Avenue, Rochester, NY  14605.  All are welcome.  There will be a charge at the door.
